Review : L’Oréal Cushion Foundation | Indian Makeup and Beauty Blog | The Face Palette

Hello dearest friends,

I am so excited to introduce you guys to this fun product from the drugstore. Today I am going to review the the L’Oréal Lumi Cushion Foundation.

Cushion foundation trend was a Korean makeup trend that started few years back, but last year it started getting popular all over the world too. This cushion foundation is everything you would love for your daily beauty routine which is better than your BB and CC cream and a lot easier to work with. So let’s say good bye to our normal BB / CC creams and welcome this next big thing to our makeup routine. This beauty trend is so worth the hype and it is something I would not hesitate to re-purchase and rave about everywhere. It is so travel friendly and it is so easy to carry in your makeup bag for touch up. The packaging is really compact and very handy.

It is a great everyday foundation that gives a natural luminous finish with sheer to medium buildable coverage. If you want more coverage you can always layer them. I feel its geared towards normal to dry skin and I don’t recommend it for oily skin because it really gives a dewy/ wet finish.

However, you can use the foundation and set it with a loose powder to keep the oils at bay. It comes in 12 shades and is available in Warm, Neutral and Cool undertones. I’m in the shade N 3.5 which is comparable to MAC NC37 which is my winter shade and during summers my MAC shade is NC40. The packaging is pretty chic which is a rose gold and white combo with a mirror inside and has a sponge for the application. I don’t use this sponge that comes with it instead I use a beauty blender or a damp beauty sponge for application. The cushion is saturated with liquid foundation.

The only downside to this product is that it has very less product than the average foundation. It is only 0.51 oz / 14.6g and retails for $16.99 which is more than what you pay for your average drugstore foundation. In the US, it is available at any drugstore like CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid and also available in Ulta, Target, Amazon as well. In India, it is available through Amazon.in in varying price ranges depending on your shade number.

Overall, I would say if you really want to try out the cushion trend, go ahead and get this foundation. To be honest, you don’t get good quantity for the price you pay, but it is a really good product for everyday use. It indeed gives your foundation a skin-like dewy finish without looking cakey which is perfect for day / natural look.

Hope you guys found this review helpful. If you have any questions or comments leave them below and I would be happy to answer them for you.

Xoxo Prima
